No doubt most authors of fiction hope to evoke worlds using words alone. But what if it were possible for certain readers to actually cause people and objects to transition between fictional worlds and our world, just by reading aloud?

Although there were times when my 11 year old sighed, "Here we go around again" as the plot circled in upon itself once more, Inkheart mostly kept us reading along.
Inkheart is the first book of a trilogy. Our child-sources tell us that the subsequent books are good too.
